How can DACA help you?
Welcome to Dumbarton Area Council on Alcohol, or DACA as we’re known locally. We’re the community alcohol service for West Dunbartonshire, and we support anyone affected by their own or a loved one’s drinking.
All of our services are free, confidential and just a phone call away.
We provide one-to-one counselling and advice, groups and other activities and a range of health and wellness services – all delivered from our offices in Dumbarton and Clydebank.
Call us on 01389 731456 for a chat about getting started.
We provide information and education to the general public on how to avoid the harms of alcohol and make safer, healthier choices without compromise.
If you’re looking for advice as an individual or on behalf of a group, give us a call and find out what we can do for you.
We have a range of specialist services for people who know that alcohol is having a negative impact on their lives and want to make a change.
Our specialist one-to-one alcohol counselling service is free and quick to access, and can really help drive the change you’re seeking.
Our Health and Wellbeing service can help alleviate the stresses and strains of life, and make change an easier process. It’s easy to get started – just give us a call and chat to one of our friendly advisors.
Our social groups, activity sessions and events offer fun and diversion in a safe, alcohol-free setting, and can really help you sustain a healthier lifestyle as you continue your recovery journey.
Every week we offer a programme of activities – from active, outdoor pursuits like fishing and cycling, through to more relaxing pastimes, such as our writing or arts and crafts groups. Why not call us and find out what’s on offer?
