01/05/2018 - Minimum unit pricing comes into force today, 1st May 2018.
Dumbarton Area Council on Alcohol fully supports the Scottish Government’s implementation of a minimum unit price for alcohol. Research conducted over many years has produced a significant body of evidence to suggest that minimum unit pricing in Scotland will save lives, improve health and reduce crime.
If you have concerns about this, or about your drinking habits, please contact us for a chat on 01389 731456 or 0141 952 0881
26/02/2018 - Dumbarton Area Council on Alcohol has been awarded a National Lottery grant of £389,172 by the Big Lottery Fund to deliver a five-year project called Steps to Recovery. This will allow for the delivery of a range of group-work activities and the development of volunteering roles, both within DACA and externally in the local community. We are delighted to have the support of the Big Lottery Fund, and looking forward to getting started with our new project. Details of recruitment for Steps to Recovery will be published this week – please check our vacancies section for details.
